I am currently working as a postdoctoral research associate at the Beckman Institute in the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). I obtained my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in May 2006. Post graduation, I worked as a senior research engineer at a fiber fabrication/ fiber sensor/ fiber laser based Start-up Company named Kiara Networks for a year. Thereafter I joined as a research fellow at the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and worked there until August 2008 before coming to Illinois.
My research interests are in the field of lasers, fiber optic devices and non-invasive optical bio-imaging.
